Emotional Recovery

Emotional recovery is a integral part of your journey in recovery. Together we explore the emotional underlying issues of your addiction, while employing client-centred coping strategies.

We help you learn about and identify your own personal underlying root causes, which may have contributed to your cycle of addiction. These issues may stem from unresolved trauma, which may include psychological, emotional, sexual and physical abuse; resulting in post-traumatic stress disorder; and other contributors.

Person-centred therapy – is key to emotional recovery and is Freedom’s core philosophical treatment approach. Together, we work to set goals – focused on you – that include rebuilding damaged relationships, accepting responsibility, and releasing guilt.

Our approach helps someone dependent on drugs or alcohol to overcome their addiction and actually set them on the emotional path of achieving the life they truly desire. Several types of therapy are helpful in this process. Please see intensive individual counseling and group counseling for more.
