Emotional recovery is a integral part of your journey in recovery. Together we explore the emotional underlying issues of your addiction, while employing client-centred coping strategies.
We help you learn about and identify your own personal underlying root causes, which may have contributed to your cycle of addiction. These issues may stem from unresolved trauma, which may include psychological, emotional, sexual and physical abuse; resulting in post-traumatic stress disorder; and other contributors.
Person-centred therapy – is key to emotional recovery and is Freedom’s core philosophical treatment approach. Together, we work to set goals – focused on you – that include rebuilding damaged relationships, accepting responsibility, and releasing guilt.
